Grading & Report Cards
Falcon Bluffs Middle School Grading Policy
Falcon Bluffs implements a blended grading policy that includes standards-based grades (SBG) (content knowledge and work habits) with a traditional (A, B, C, D, F) reporting system. We take the benefits of SBG and report out in a traditional A-F format that aligns with high school and college grading systems.
Our goal is to ensure grades accurately reflect knowledge levels. Students will earn one final grade per class. Each grade will consist of two categories including content standards (weighted 80% of final grade) and work habits (weighted 20% of final grade).
Please refer to the Student and Family FBMS P&I manual (page 24).
Middle and High School Report Cards
For most Jeffco middle and high schools, progress reports are issued at the end of each six-week grading period with a report card issued at the end of each trimester or semester. A student's middle and high school grades can be reviewed on the district's online parent portal.
Parents of high school students may wish to view the Board policy on high school grading for details on weighted classes, class rank and grade point average.
