About FBMS
Since the ribbon-cutting ceremony in 2003, FBMS has been dedicated to middle school students. The school provides a comprehensive education that includes traditional core subjects with various elective opportunities, clubs, sports and activities.
Unique to Falcon Bluffs, the staff is trained in Pre-Advanced Placement (Pre-AP) strategies and the Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science departments implement Pre-AP and SpringBoard curriculum. Additionally, the mathematics department uses College Preparatory Mathematics (CPM) and consistently produces growth scores near the top in Jeffco.
Falcon Bluffs partners with Chatfield Senior High to ensure our students are prepared for the AP and Concurrent Enrollment opportunities that await them. Staff are deeply engaged in Professional Learning Communities, focusing on student needs using common assessment data. Behind all of our success, we emphasize our six collective commitments: Grit, Growth Mindset, Relationships, Intellectual Curiosity, Collaboration, and Professionalism.
- Falcon Bluffs led the way in South Jeffco by welcoming sixth grade students into middle school in 2005.
- Implementation of Pre-AP training and curriculum using CollegeBoard materials.
- In the 2017-18 school year, FBMS had the highest middle school growth scores in all of Jeffco on CMAS State assessments.
